Process a Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is available Janurary 1st for the following academic year. You can initially use estimated tax information if you have not filed your previous years taxes. UMHB will begin awarding financial aid the second week of February. Funding is limited so it is important to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. 

It takes 5 business days for the Deparment of Education to process the FAFSA and forward it to UMHB. The financial aid office will contact you shortly after we receive your FAFSA.
