Other Institutional Scholarships

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is one of the most affordable private universities in the Southwest. Mary Hardin-Baylor disperses nearly $30 million dollars in financial assistance to approximately 90 percent of its full-time undergraduate students. 

Additionally, there are several avenues for students to receive additional scholarship & financial aid. Here are a few:

Mary Hill Davis Ethnic Scholarship

This is a scholarship that is awarded by the Baptist General Convention of Texas to Baptist students from ethnic/minority backgrounds planning to attend a Texas Baptist university. For more information visit the BGCT website here.

UMHB Christian Studies Scholarships

There are two scholarships available to students through the Christian Studies department. One is called the Ministerial Scholarship and is designated for students that are planning on entering the ministry. The other scholarship is available to students who are dependent on BGCT denomination workers.

Missionary Kid Scholarship

Students who are children of international missionaries may apply for this scholarship. Scholarship amounts are: $1,500/yr for full time enrollment; $1,125/yr for 3/4 time enrollment; and $750/yr for 1/2 time enrollment. The scholarship is renewable. International Missionaries include those who have served in continuous, full-time employment for a substantial number of years and are currently living with their families as vocational Christian missionaries in a country outside of the United States under the employment of a recognized mission sending agency. 

UMHB Math Scholarship

This scholarship is designated for students that are interested in majoring in math. For more information, download a PDF Application here. 

UMHB Music Scholarships

The Music Department at UMHB also offers scholarship assistance for students who plan on majoring/minoring in the music program. For more information, visit the UMHB Music Department website at http://undergrad.umhb.edu/cvpa
